MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team has dropped two in a row after being dropped by Brown 49-7 on Saturday. The Bears used a strong first half to gain a 22-0 lead at halftime. The Mount was unable to recover from the deficit. The loss drops the Mountaineers to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the NIRA.

SCOUTING SACRED HEART
The Pioneers come into this matchup having dropped three straight matches to American International, West Chester, and Brown. In their recent match, the Brown Bears topped Sacred Heart 29-17. Isabel Cuddy led the Pioneers with seven tackles and a try to go along with that. Kaylee Hale went 1-for-3 on conversion kicks. The loss dropped Sacred Heart to 1-4 in the NIRA Tier II standings which sits them at 6th place overall.

FLASHING BACK
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since last year's NIRA Tier II Championship in which the Mount was able to hold off the Pioneers for a 22-15 victory. Julie Crochet led the Mountaineers on offense with two tries while Ubaida Ahmed was awarded Most Valuable Player of the match. The Mount will look to repeat that performance this weekend.

WIN AND YOUR IN
American International finished their NIRA Tier II conference schedule this past weekend with a 98-7 win over Long Island University. This win put the Yellow Jackets one put ahead of the Mountaineers and into the fourth playoff spot. With a victory over Sacred Heart in their final NIRA Tier II conference match, the Mount women's rugby team will clinch the fourth spot in the NIRA Tier II playoffs.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
If the Mountaineers are able to secure the final playoff sport, they will next play on Saturday, November 9th. The semifinals will be hosted by the top seed which is still yet to be determined between Brown, Queens, and West Chester.
