MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mount got back in the win column with a 1-0 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn this past Sunday at Waldron Family Stadium.  Elisabeth Rockhill scored on a long shot in the first half to provide the Mount the only goal it would need in the win.  Rockhill leads the Mount with two goals this season.  Goalkeeper Maggie Barron made six saves to earn the shutout.  Barron has a 1.51 goals against average and a .840 save percentage in nine games (eight starts) this year for the Mountaineers.

ABOUT THE PIONEERS:  Sacred Heart is in third place in the Northeast Conference standings with a 4-1-1 league record while posting a 7-5-2 overall mark this year.  The Pioneers are coming off a sweep of the two-game trip to Western Pennsylvania, recording wins over Robert Morris (1-0) and Saint Francis U (3-2).  Michelle Clarkin leads the offense with five goals and 13 points while Azria Malloy has three goals and two assists for eight points.  Elyssa Kipperman has started all 14 games in goal, posting a 1.36 goals against average and a .787 save percentage.  Sacred Heart is 3-2-0 at home this year.

LAST YEAR'S MEETINGMaddie Tchou scored 3:39 into the game, and the Mount held on the rest of the way for a 1-0 victory over Sacred Heart last year at Waldron Family Stadium.  Jenna West picked up the assist to Tchou, sending a cross that Tchou was able to finish into the wide-open goal.  Maggie Barron made eight saves to earn the clean sheet victory.  Click HERE for the box score.

ALL-TIME SERIES:  Sacred Heart holds a 14-6-1 lead in the all-time series with the Mountaineers that began in 1998.  Last year, the Mount edged Sacred Heart, 1-0, at home to snap a two-game losing streak to the Pioneers.  The Mount's last win on the road against Sacred Heart was a 2-1 victory on October 18, 2015.  The Mount is 2-8-0 all-time on the road in the series with the Pioneers.
